What is the Johnson City Community Education Foundation?

The Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation operating independently from the school district with its own board of directors.

Why was it established?

The rising cost of higher education has become a clear barrier to students starting and completing the requirements of a higher education degree. The Johnson City Community Education Foundation is committed to helping remove these barriers. 

What are the goals of the Foundation?

The JCC Education Foundation was established to become a resource for continuing education for students by providing further scholarship opportunities and to encourage new and expanded approaches to education by giving teachers challenge grants.

The Foundation achieves its mission through a variety of strategies:

• Awarding scholarships to graduates
• Encourage our graduates to plan for their future
• Promoting the creation of new educational projects and programs; and
• Partnering with community members and businesses with similar goals of supporting students to achieve their dreams.

How can I help?

You can support the Foundation with contributions of cash, annual pledges, memorial gifts, real estate, stocks, planned giving, or other gifts in kind. Your donation remains with the Johnson City community and is used directly to benefit students. All donations are tax deductible.

How Can I make my gift?

General Donations -  Cash or pledged donations may be made at any time. Such gifts may memorialize or honor family members or friends.

Annual fund campaign -  Activities will be planned each year to support the Foundation’s programs.

Planned Giving -  Gifts by will, trust, life insurance, and other options may be recommended by your estate planner.
